changes....

barack obama is the president of the United States of America now. when i first started to type this up i was going to remind everyone that I DID NOT vote for him and go on and on about what an idiot I think he is... in small part because I am a sore loser I guess....

Then I started thinking about how annoyed I am with the voting policy in this country.... I can see why originally only land owners were allowed to vote. After thinking that one through... I could see how that plan although sound in theory at first... has plenty of room for error. We would see only the wealthy with land and then only the wealthy would be able to vote.... and the people who could not afford to buy land but put in honest work every day would not have a voice. (So maybe only tax payers can vote... who are current on taxes???? idk....) Idiots should not be able to vote.... but that is not the new presidents fault.

Finally I have come to my senses... I am grateful to be an AMERICAN and since my country voted Mr. Obama I will try my best to face the next four years with a positive attitude.... and lots of prayer. With the help of Heavenly Father, even Barack Obama can be a decent president.

As a proud American I am going to make a promise to myself.... I will allow the new president to show me what type of president he will be without giving off my own little temper tantrum in my own little corner of the world. This does not by any stretch of the imagination mean that I will be changing my political views... it simply means I will let him do his job and support the decisions he makes (within reason). I will show him the respect that the media and many others did not show to Mr. Bush when he was elected and then thrown into the middle of the 9-11 disaster.

Now I would like to say thank you to W.... I did not agree with every decision he made.... I think he spent a lot of money.... and his views on illegals leaves a lot to be desired in my eyes. However George W Bush was elected to do a job and he did it. He is an honest man who loves his family and has respect for his wife. He made decisions and followed through with them. He did not need a poll every other day to do what he was elected to do. He was thrust in the middle of not only a national crisis but really a global one and took decisive action. I appreciate that he did not have the attention span of a gnat. I am grateful that he and his family did not use the media or his position for their personal agendas. His integrity was more important to me than his ability to give speeches. Many were not kind.... the media was pretty much awful.... but... We were blessed to have him as our leader.

GOD BLESS THE USA.... and each and every one of us =] (only 2 years till mid terms!!!! :)
